Army SC emerged champions at the National senior rowing championship held at the Diyawanna Oya yesterday.
Their men and women won three gold medals in each category.
Navy SC and Air Force SC finished tied in second place with their rowers too showing much improvement and promise.
The final and important race of the day was the Open Men’s Fours that saw a tight race between Army and Navy. Army won the race by one boat length.
Another race that evolved much highlight was the Open Men’s Pairs race that was won by Navy narrowly. That win gave them success for five years in a row.
