‘Together We Help’, a musical evening will be held on International Children’s Day, 20th November at Bishops College auditorium, Colombo 3.
It is a musical concert with 24 songs of various artists from the Sunil Shantha era up to date.
The featured artists will be maestros T.M. Jayarathne and Rohana Bogoda. The most popular songs of the 70s, 80s and thereafter will be sung and performed by the members of the music band ‘Saxophone’. Experienced Saxophonist Vajira Rathnayaka will direct the band under the guidance of the veteran musician Ernest Soysa.
According to the project lead of ‘Together We Help’ Prasanna Aluthge, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to SOS Children’s Villages – Sri Lanka.
SOS Children’s Villages in Sri Lanka is an associate of SOS Children’s Villages International. Currently SOS supports over 4,500 children under different programs in Sri Lanka.
The organizers of the event, Pageliao, are expecting all music lovers in Sri Lanka to contribute to this worthy cause by participation.
‘Together We Help’ is a charity concept with a vision of ‘Making Sri Lanka a better place to live’ by lending a helping hand to children, elders and people in need regardless of nationality, race or religion.
