The Navy and the Illuppukadawai police earlier this week seized a lorry transporting over 24 kilograms of Kerala cannabis and arrested two suspects, Navy spokesman Captain Indika De Silva said.
The cannabis was seized following a search of a lorry at the Vellankulam roadblock in Nachchikuda, he said.
The street value of the seized cannabis is around Rs.7 million.
The two suspects, aged 37 and 45, are reaidents of Vavuniya. (IW)
