Chalitha Pushpika of the Navy finished in front to pip front runner Chanaka Perera at the SLG Golf Ranking Tournament held at the Royal Colombo Golf Course from November 15 to 18.
Chalitha recorded a gross score of 272 over four rounds to finish ahead of Chanaka Perera who returned a gross of 278.
The course was heavy and the top players had to rely on long shots to get closer to the pin. Pushpika scored under par rounds to return the best cards over four rounds.
Saman Rupasinghe from the Navy was placed fourth with a gross score of 301, but officially he is the second runner-up of this tournament as Priya Hemantha is a coach and participated on behalf of all Sri Lankan golf players.
