Ars Poetica (PNI) Poetry Forum 2022

4 December, 2022

‘Ars Poetica (PNI)’, a poetry forum of invited poets organized by Primrose Road Poetry collective will be held from 1-4 pm on December 10 , at Atelier Café, Kandy (upon inquiry, ‘PNI’ was clarified to us to stand for “pun not intended”).

The forum’s line-up includes a host of established names composing in English including Malinda Seneviratne, Anupama Godakanda, Chiranthi Rajapakse, Jayani Senanayake, Palitha Ranatunge, and Vihanga Perera. Poets Madri Kalugala, Nipuni Ranaweera, Gayathri Hewagama, and Isurinie Mallawaarachchi, whose debut collections drew much public acclaim earlier this year, are also in attendance.

Primrose Road Poetry has invited several friends of the collective who have contributed to its publications or those readying manuscripts for publication soon. This includes Hamam Alhar, Imsha Iqbal, Nimna Edirisinghe, and Navini Premalal who will share from their selections.

As a gesture of its on-going solidarity with the local arts, Atelier Kandy hosts this event for free at its vibrant café. Primrose Road Poetry is a collective of poets and lit enthusiasts based in and around Primrose Road, Kandy.
