Education Minister Dr. Susil Premajayantha said that there are around 800 vacancies in the administrative sector of the Education Ministry now. The Ministry will hold a competitive test soon to select the most deserving officers to fill these vacancies.
Nearly 4,000 qualified school heads too would be appointed to remote schools in due course and the qualified school heads have been selected through a competitive test conducted by the Education Ministry, Dr.Premajayantha told the Sunday Observer.
He said more than 750,000 jobless and untrained youngsters who prefer to be employed abroad would be offered vocational skills and foreign language skills in 2023 at a cost of Rs.1, 280 million at 23 Government Technical Colleges countrywide.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe has instructed the Ministers to expand more foreign job opportunities for the unemployed youth of this country, the Minister said.
