Airport & Aviation Services will meet David Pieris Motor Company in the Munchee Trophy MCA ‘D’ division final today, (8) at the MCA ground commencing at 10 a.m.
In the two semi-finals David Pieris ‘A’ defeated MAS Unichela by four wickets and Airport & Aviation Services beat MAS Bodyline by a convincing 67 runs.
MAS Unichela were shot out for 116 runs mainly due to clever bowling by Lakmal de Silva (3/44) and Lamshan de Silva (4/9).
In reply DPMC ‘A’ were helped to reach the target with an unbroken partnership of 53 runs for the seventh wicket between Akila Elabodage (27 n.o.) and skipper Manjula Gannila (25 n.o.).
