Ex-rugby referee Wimal Perera has been appointed as a Match Official Reviewer of Sri Lanka Rugby (SLR).

is job will be to review all matches organised and conducted by SLR and submit a report to its Match Review Committee on a weekly basis with a recommendation to further the standard of rugby refereeing in the country.
Perera holds the status of World Rugby coach of match officials, Licensed Educator, Citing Officer and Commissioner of Match Officials for Asia Rugby.
He is also a former president of the Sri Lanka Rugby Referees’ Society.
