BRC emerged champions in the Colombo Hockey Association (CHA) conducted knock-out hockey tournament 2022/23 of the A division for the Pioneer Cup when they beat CH & FC 7/6 in a penalty shootout at the Astro Turf on January 14.
The scores were nil-all at the long whistle and the penalty shootout was ordered.
Royal College B team beat Old Zahirians in the B division final and clinched the Bacon Cup. The scores at full time were nil-all and in the penalty shootout Royal won 5/4.
CR & FC beat Old Senanayakians 2/1 to clinch the President’s Cup offered in the C division.
CR & FC beat Colombo Colts by 4 goals to one in the penalty shootout in the women’s tournament. The scores at full time stood at 1-1 and had to be decided on the penalty shootout. (TBR)
