Expolanka Holdings beat Fairfirst Insurance by two goals to nil in the Mercantile Football Association (MFA) Knock-out A division Tournament 2022 final played at the City Football League ground on Friday.
Expolanka led 1-nil at half time.
Centre forward Aakib Faizer scored the first goal in the 40th minute of the first half and their second goal was scored by right extreme Veeraiyya Dilushe in the 50th minute.
HNB clinched third place when they beat Ceylinco by three goals to one in the game played prior to the final.
HNB scored their first goal in the opening minute through a penalty booted by NC Abeysekera.
Ceylinco found the equalizer in the 36th minute when GAS Harshane found the net.
This was all the scoring in the first half.
HNB scored two more goals in the second half through Salaruwan Gunawardena in the 46th minute and NC Abeysekera scored his second goal in the 50th minute. (TBR)
