National Development Bank PLC (NDB) concluded the GHG assessment and verification for the entire organisation for the FY 2021. The Bank engaged the verification body ‘Sri Lanka Climate Fund’ (SLCF) to assess and verify the Bank’s Carbon Footprint.

SLCF is South Asia’s first ISO 14065 Accredited Organisation and SLCF’s accredited certification applies to NDB’s Head Office and network of Branches in the island.

Carbon footprinting is an assessment and reporting methodology that enables companies to more accurately calculate Carbon emissions and identify areas for improvement. It has been recognised as a best practice for companies seeking to track their Carbon output in an effort to reduce it.
