Shubman Gill scored his fifth international century of the year to lead India’s response to Australia’s 480 as the home team ended the third day’s play of the fourth and final cricket Test at 289 for 3 in Ahmedabad yesterday.
India is still 191 runs behind the Aussies total at the end of the third day.
Gill scored 128 with a 12 fours and a six as he anchored the innings.
Virat Kohli was on 59 and with him was Ravindra Jadeja.
India has to win the match to qualify for the final of the World Test championship. Australia has already qualified for the final.
