Sri Lanka under 19 cricket team led by all rounder Shevon Danial havea good chance to get match exposure during the Tri nation cricket tournament in UAE which will commence on March 20 and before the next year under 19 world cup this is an ideal opportunity for youngsters said Sri Lanka Under 19 coach Jehan Mubarak yesterday .

My team is well balanced and we had successful one month training session and finally we got one week special training at Dambulla and played one game against Combined Kurunegala team.

In addition we played one game against visiting Canada National team which we lost but got good exposure.

Canada scored 205 in 35 overs we scored 170 all out and this game was played at P. Sara Oval Stadium.

Actually we had to play more day night matches during UAE tri nation tournament and we got one side wicket practice session at R. Premadasa Stadium and yet to play day night centre wicket game and hope to adjust very soon added Mubarak the former Sri Lankan batter and former Royal coach.

Actually Afgansitan host this UAE tournament and that is their home training centre with good practice on UAE wickets.

Bangladesh the former World under 19 team also have a talented side and we will face good challenge from them.

The three players Shevon Daniel of St Josephs, Teeraka Ranathunga from Trinity and Trevin Matthew of St Anthony’s Katugastota are the three seniors who can’t take part in next years world cup which is scheduoled to be played in Sri Lanka next January and all other players have to get good exposure before the world cup and we have to thank Sri Lanka cricket for organizing this tri nation tournament and it’s worth for the players.

SLC already planned to play West Indies under 19 series, Pakistan under 19 series and we have to play Under 19 Asia cup and all these are good exposure for the under 19 players added Jehan.

My team Manager former National player Jayantha Seneviratne is an experienced cricket adminstrastor, coach and one time selector and his service is important to both supporting staff and the players.

The assistant coach Sampath Perera former D.S Senanayake skipper and former Malaysia under 10 coach and fast bowling coach Chamila Gamage who was the former National paceman with a record of first ball test wicket and our analyst Ranjan Senevirante give support to under 19 cricketers and we hope to do well during the tri-nation series said Mubarak.
