Former Maris Stella College cricketer and uncapped opening batsman Lasith Croospulle will be part of Sri Lanka’s T20 squad that is set to play against New Zealand in three matches on April 2, 5 and 8.
Croospulle, 24, has seemingly forced his way into the selectors’ minds following a string of impressive performances against the England Lions earlier this year.
Turning out for Sri Lanka A he produced scores of 128, 47 and 73 and also hit 116 against the same opposition while representing a Board President’s XI making his form hard to ignore.
In First Class games Croospulle has scored 2761 runs in 44 matches including six hundreds and 15 fifties with an average of 37.82.
Sri Lanka also picked its squad for three ODIs against New Zealand starting on March 25.
