The Board of Investment (BOI) will set up five new investment Zones this year which will help to further increase FDI, export revenue create new employment opportunities.
The five new zones will be set up in KKS, Paranthan, Kilinochchi, Trincomalee and Bingiriya phase 2.
The BOI currently operates 15 zones generating over USD 3 billon revenue annually.
