Kandy CC vs Kalutara PCC final today

Kandy Cricket Club who have won seven games out of eight, will take on Kalutara PCC in the final of the Under-23 inter-club cricket tournament to be played at the CCC ground today (26).

The Kalutara club played in group B and won all six games making today’s final a close contest.

Hockey final today

The final in the under-21 hockey national championship will be held at the Peradeniya Campus ground today.

Thirteen men’s teams and eight women’s teams participated in the tournament organized by the Kandy District Hockey Association.

Kandy SC ready for CR 7s

Kandy SC is in the Group A with Army, CR & FC and Police for the CR & FC centenary rugby Sevens which will be played from March 31 to April 2 at Longdon Place.

Kandy SC’s first game is against Police at 9 am on the first day and the second game is against CR & FC at 11.20 am and the third game is against Army at 2.40 p.m.

The side will be led by Srinath Sooriyabandara.

Three schools from Kandy that will be in action in this schools tournament are Trinity, Vidyartha and Kingswood.

Rajans get rugby coach

Former Sri Lanka player and IRB match Commissioner Kavinda Jayasena, who learnt his rugby at Trinity College, is tipped to take up coaching of the rugby team of Dharmaraja College this season.

TCK – SACK mini battle

The ninth mini cricket battle between Trinity College and St. Anthony’s College second eleven teams will take place on April 3 and 4 at the Asgiriya Stadium. The winners will be presented the T.H. de Silva memorial Shield.

Rajans junior football

Some 30 teams are expected to participate at the Junior Football Tournament conducted by Dharmaraja College on March 31 at Lake View ground in Kandy. The players will be from among the grade six to ten. It will be promoted by the Old Rajans football lovers.
