South Asia lawyers at cricket in Colombo

An event called the South Asia Lawyers’ Cricket Cup tournament will be held in Colombo from March 30, to April 5.

It will feature teams from the cities of Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata from India, Lahore and Karachi from Pakistan, Dhaka from Bangladesh and Colombo from Sri Lanka. It has been introduced with a view to creating greater cricketing competition among lawyers on a global scale.

The tournament will have an opening ceremony on March 30 at the Colombo Cricket Club (CCC) ground at Maitland Crescent.

The first round of the tournament will be worked off from March 31 to April 2 on a round robin basis and the semi-finals will be played on April 4. All matches will be played at Colts CC, Burgher Recreation Club (BRC) and Thurstan College grounds. The final will be held on April 5 at the CCC ground.

All matches will be streamed live on the YouTube Channel of Sri Lanka Lawyers’ Cricket. This is the second major international lawyers’ cricket tournament hosted by Sri Lanka Lawyers’ Cricket in its history with the first being the Sixth Lawyers’ Cricket World Cup which was held in Colombo in August, 2017.
