REV. FR. KURUKULASOORIYA AUGUSTINE NICHOLAS FERNANDO of the Archdiocese of Colombo,​​ expired on Thursday on the 04th of May 2023. He is the beloved son of late K. George Fernando and late K. Mary Theresa Fernando. The remains of Rev. Fr. Augustine Nicholas Fernando lie in state at Velankanni Church,​​ Chekku Street,​​ Colombo 13 until 10.00 a.m. on Friday,​​ the 05th of May and thereafter will be transferred to St. Nicholas’ Church,​​ Munnakkara,​​ Negombo. From Saturday,​​ the 06th of May at 6.00 p.m. to Sunday,​​ the 07th of May at 10.00 a.m. the body lies at his residence and will be taken to the Holy Cross Church,​​ Siriwardena Place,​​ Munnakkara,​​ Negombo. The Funeral will be held on Sunday,​​ the 07th of May. The requiem Mass will be at 3.00 p.m. followed by burial at the Holy Cross Church Cemetery at Siriwardena Place,​​ Munnakkara,​​ Negombo. Beloved husband of Lalani, loving father of Nishanthi (Director, Kidventure Preschool), Lakni, fond father-in-law of Chithru and Keith, ever-loving grandfather of Shanela, Shenara and Shenelki, brother of late Stella & Annette, Christy, Mercy, Leonard, Sunil and Frank. Brother-in-law of late Anthony, late Leonard & Claude, Rose, Kumarini, Chitranganie, Shilani, Gilt', late Paul & Merrille, Christabel, late Ranjith, Pushpa. SINNATAMBY - GALAHAD (Gora) - went home to Christ,​ his Saviour on the morning of April 20,​ 2023,​ from his earthly home in Toronto,​ Canada. He was the doting husband of Sothy (nee Spencer),​ loving father to Deborah and Mary Margaret (and Chrishanthan) Maiuresan and beloved Dado to Nahemiah Maiuresan. Galahad was the third of four children to Arthur Thuraisingham & Mary Ponmany Sinnatamby (nee Manikkawasagan). He was welcomed into heaven by his first daughter Angeline,​ brother Dato Arthur Binoy Sinnatamby,​ sister Rukmini (and late Indran) Seevaratnam. He is survived by his sister Olive (and Pathman) Mills. He was a cherished brother-in-law to Sarojini Sinnatamby (Arthur),​ the late Mrs. Mani Rajasenan (Spencer),​ Mrs. Ranji Thambirajah (Spencer),​ late Mr. Deva Spencer,​ Mrs. Jeba Gunaratnam (Spencer),​ late Mrs. Thavamany Spencer,​ Mrs. Thiru Abraham (Spencer) and Mr. Reuben Spencer. For Gora,​ his Church ministries were his passion,​ at Colombo Gospel Tabernacle in Sri Lanka,​ Agincourt Pentecostal Church in Toronto,​ Canada,​ and as a member of the Canadian 100 Huntley Street prayer team.
