The winners of People’s Bank People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai rewards scheme monthly draws for July, August and September (2022) were presented Rs. 1 million each at the People’s Bank, Overseas Customer Services branch, Colombo 10 last week.
The winners were A.K. Upali Gunawardena, Ms. Manjula Dilhani and Ms. T.T. Senali Perera.
Winners of the weekly draw were presented a gold sovereign each. The 2022 annual grand draw winner will receive Rs. 10 million.
Senior DGM (OCS), Rohan Pathirage, AGM (OCS), Ms. Aruni Liyanagunawardana, CM (OCS) Ms. Renuka Arunasalam and Ms. Thilini Perera were present.
The People’s Bank also launched the People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai Reward Scheme for the second consecutive year in 2023, appreciating and encouraging the remittances received from Sri Lankans working overseas, who work tirelessly strengthening the country’s economy and building a better life for their families.
With the launch of People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai 2023, the Annual Grand Draw winner will receive a grand prize of Rs. 10 million. This year People’s Bank has introduced rewards for second and third-place winners who will receive Rs. 3 million and Rs. 2 million.
The monthly winner will receive Rs. 1 million and the weekly winner Rs. 100,000.
Worker remittances sent to personal accounts at People’s Bank, Remittances collected over the counter at any People’s Bank Branches (B2B), Western Union, Ria, and similar anywhere payout/ cash pick up and Remittances sent through other agents of the Bank such as Small World, Remitly, Master Card, Instant Cash, Ace Money up to December 31, this year are eligible for this promotional Draw. The chances of winning are increased by more remittances through the People’s Bank.
