Over 60 shooters are in the fray at the NSSF Trap Open Championship 2023 conducted by the National Shooting Sports Federation of Sri Lanka (NSSF) at the Clay Target Shooting Club of Colombo, Payagala Range from May 19 to 22.
Shooters representing Clay Target Shooting Club of Colombo, Negombo, Magnum, Puttalam, Siyane, Hill Country and Wayamba rifle shooting clubs are contesting.
This will also serve as a trial to update the national pool in preparation for future international events.
Under the leadership of NSSF president Shirantha Peiris, the four-day competition is being conducted with the assistance of Competition Director Mohan Gilbert and Assistant Competition Director Dinesh Lionel.
Winners of the Youth, Junior, Open, Masters and Women will be awarded medals and certificates. The first three positions in the overall and team segments will also be presented with medals and certificates. (TBR)
