‘Greenpath’ artists empowered

President Maithripala Sirisena last week opened Sri Lanka’s first permanent road-side gallery for over 60 artists who sell their work on the side-walks of Ananda Coomaraswamy Mawatha (Green Path), adjoining the leafy, Viharamahadevi Park in Colombo 7. Under the project, initiated by Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government, Faiszer Musthapha, 25 sheltered display units were handed over to artists.
