With a total of 303 points Carter house emerged as the champion house at the Inter house sports meet of School for the Deaf, Ratmalana held at the School’s grounds recently under the guidance of Principal Samanthika Jayasuriya. Miskin house secured 273 points and Gibbon house 220 points occupied the second and third places respectively.
Drill displays, school band and march past by the students of the school for the Deaf, Ratmalana added color to the event. The colorful event was attended by a large number of students, parents, past pupils and well wishers. Lion Camilus Fernando, District Governor 306/B1 gracers the as chief guest, the occasion was graced with presence of Mr. Anjay Amaleen (Managing Director, MAS Brands Pvt Ltd) and his wife Amaleen and President, Deaf School Past Pupils’ Association, Ratmalana, Shivantha Vivekanandan were the Guests of Honour. The sports meet was sponsored by the Lions Club of Colombo North 306 B/1.
