S. Thomas’ College Mt. Lavinia won the inaugural Ranil Abeynaike Memorial hockey encounter when they beat St Peter’s College in the under 19 match by four goals to nil played at the Astro Turf yesterday.
The Thomians led 2-0 at half time. The goals for the winners were scored by U.A.B. Ellepola (2), Y. Gunawardene and S. Wanigasuriya. The Old Boy’s match was won by St. Peter’s College who beat S Thomas’ 3-0 after leading 2-0 at half time. M. Joseph and G. Solomon (2) scored the goals.
