The Return Of The Time Traveller: A young writer’s thoughts

27 January, 2019

Belonging to the lot of ‘the youngest authors who have published books internationally’, 14-year-old Lohan Wijerathne of Colombo International School launched ‘The Return Of The Time Traveller’ on January 18, 2019 at the Sooriya Village. ‘The Return Of The Time Traveller’ is the sequel to his previous book, ‘The Time Traveller’s Tale’ which he launched at the age of 12.

For Lohan, writing has always been more than just paperwork. He says, he was inspired by most of the offbeat moments like blackouts, and that’s where all of his inspiration burst forth. Throughout these years, even before Lohan was just nine, he had showed great promise of rollicking with words, diving deep in his imagination. Sharing the words of pleasure on his achievement as an author, almost a fiction writer, Lohan extended his gratitude to his parents for never letting him fall out of determination to end writing his book. The book is basically about ‘Friendship’ and in weaving the story, Lohan has incorporated real characters to the story, making use of the real vibes and sentiments that have grown within him, while being around his friends. A brief insight into Lohan’s work and how he has bloomed as a writer within such a small period would be enough for you to get the urge to grab his book from Stores.

The book is published by Sarasavi Publishers and available in all leading bookshops of Sarasavi and Vijitha Yapa. His previous books are available for purchase online on Amazon.com. Lohan dedicates this book to his friends and family.
