Sadamini credits success to hardwork

29 September, 2019

Nilaksha Sadamini of Devapathiraja College, Galle was awarded Best Bowler at the 41st Observer-Mobitel School Cricketer of the Year Awards. When asked how this recognition made her feel, she said, “Nervous. This award is very valuable to my cricketing future.”

She credited her success

to all the hard-work and training she had gone through. “I received immense support from my parents, along with the two trainers. Mahesh sir helped me the most to reach this position.”

Her ultimate goal is to represent the national team.

“I need to attend practice day in and day out, batting and bowling,” she said.

Offering advice to fellow schoolgirl cricketers, she said “Practice and compete well.”
