Hemas launches Daru Patiyage Lokaya program

Hemas Holdings launched another CSR activity, Baby Cheramy Daru Patiyage Lokaya recently.

Hemas Holdings has closely worked with the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs, and Children’s Secretariat Office since 2002 in the implementation of the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program of the company.

Hemas Holdings has given a new outlook to the program by collaborating with specialists related to the subject of Early Childhood Care and Development such as child psychologists, ECCD educationists, Paediatricians, Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. Different educational programs are set to be launched via television, radio, websites and social media under the main program, ‘Baby Cheramy Daru Patiyage Lokaya’ to create awareness on ECCD.

The program will be launched in Panadura, Wadduwa, Horana, Bandaragama, Bulathsinhala, Mathugama, and Dodanduwa directly involving pregnant mothers to the sessions.

GM, Group Sustainability and Corporate Communications, Executive Director Hemas Outreach Foundation, Ayati Trust Sri Lanka, Shiromi Masakorala said, “Hemas Holdings is a company that goes beyond business targets to develop social welfare. We are truly proud of the fact that we are able to fulfill a need in society through a program such as ‘Baby Cheramy Daru Patiyage Lokaya’ in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and Child Affairs and Children’s Secretariat Office.”

We hope to use multiple communication methods to educate different social categories to cover the whole nation.
