The Bank of Ceylon Calls for Applications from Ran Kekulu Grade 5 Scholarships Achievers.
The Bank of Ceylon (BOC) has called for applications from those who have perfomed well in the in this year’s Grade 5 scholarship examination, under its ‘Ran Kekulu’ scholarship program.
The Bank will grant 2,000 scholarships worth Rs.15,000 each to deserving Ran Kekulu Account holding students and 100 scholarships worth Rs.25,000 to deserving Personal Foreign Currency Minor Account (PFCA Minor) holding students.
The application form can be downloaded via the Bank’s web site: www.boc.lk, FaceBook page or obtained from the nearest BOC branch. Those hoping to apply are requested to hand over their applications at any Bank of Ceylon branch on or before November 27. BOC Ran Kekulu account holders who have maintained a minimum account balance of Rs. 5000 by October 5, 2019 - a day before the 2019 exam results were released, will be considered eligible for the grant.
As for PFCA Minor account holders the account balance should be USD 250 or equivalent in foreign currency by October 6, 2019 to be eligible to receive the scholarship grant. Children who qualify in Ran Kekulu and PFCA Minor accounts and have the required pass mark to receive the scholarship will receive both scholarship grants.
Apart from the scholarship grant the Bank present a gift to all BOC Ran Kekulu account holding students whose account is opened and in operation by October 6, 2019 and has achieved the district pass mark.
