A Ballerina's Tale - Students' Ballet Concert

The students of the Russian School of Ballet and Dancing will be showcasing their talents in this year’s concert A Ballerina’s Tale at the BMICH Main Hall on February 29, 2020.

Celebrating 19 years since inception, the Russian School of Ballet currently houses 850 aspiring ballerinas under the guidance of nine ballet instructors namely, Galina , Samantha, Niluka, Radeesha, Lasni, Sadani, Kavishka, Shenaalie and Samindi accredited and guided by the Moscow State Academy of Choreography under the patronage of Oxana Karnovich. ballet instructors who guided by the Moscow State Academy of Choreography under the patronage of Oxana Karnovich.

The concert will showcase ballerinas starting from age three onwards.

The evening is a fusion of classic and modern Russian dance and music elements such as traditional Russian dances, Waltz, Nutcracker, Polka and more. The concert is organised under the guidance of 1st Secretary of the Embassy of Russian Federation, The Director of the Russian Centre in Colombo, Anastasia Khokhlova. CEO Buddhapriya Ramanayake and Cultural Officer Chandi Aluvihare as the founders of The Russian School of Ballet and Dancing in Sri Lanka.
