Former President of the Old Boys Association of Maris Stella College, Negombo, W. Ranjith Fernando has passed away.
The funeral will be held this evening at the Sea Street cemetery, Negombo. Cortege will leave residence, 16/6, Colombo Road, Negombo at 3.30 p.m.
He leaves his wife Dilhani Wijayapura and children Dilanjith, Dilhara, Dilanka, Dilran and Ruvinka.
He was the past President of the United National Party Professionals’ Association and the Ex-Secretary of the Ave Maria Convent Welfare Association. A versatile figure holding many positions, Ranjith was also the trustee of the Manrosa Elders Home, Dankotuwa.
He was also the Chairman of WRF Holdings (Pvt) Ltd and Managing Partner of Dee Aar Enterprises and a past District Governor of Lions Club International District 306 B1 and an all-island Justice in Peace.
