Janashakthi Life hosts first virtual AGM

Janashakthi Insurance PLC held its 27th Annual General Meeting (AGM) via a virtual platform recently.

The session was hosted live for shareholders on a virtual platform in compliance with the precautionary measures and safety recommendations imposed by the World Health Organisation and Government authorities to combat the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. 

The session was live streamed from the Janashakthi Life head office to shareholders allowing a successful and interactive session. Shareholders were given the opportunity to raise any questions, interact and actively participate as the relevant procedures were explained to all members prior to the commencement of the meeting. Moreover, online voting was also enabled ensuring seamless engagement and convenience. Janashakthi Insurance  Executive Chairman, Prakash Schaffter said, “The initiative of hosting this session on a virtual platform was taken to ensure the health and safety of all stakeholders due to the prevailing situation.  Even though we are pleased to have delivered a strong performance with all key financial metrics showing improved results in 2019, we are aware of the health and economic challenges that lie ahead.
