Nineteen Paddy Marketing Board (PMB) stores complexes have been kept open for the purchase of paddy in the Hambantota district, PMB sources said. Kiri samba, sudu samba, rathu samba, rathu nadu and sudu nadu will be bought at Rs. 50 per kilo. A maximum of 1,000 kilos of paddy will be bought from each farmer, according to the sources.
