The health camp in progress
A health camp was held for low income families in the Nuwaragala Divisional Secretariat area in the Mahaweli C Zone under the patronage of Dr. Lakshman Weerasekera. Over 2,000 pairs of spectacles were donated and free blood and urine tests were also conducted before prescribing medicine to the villagers.
Parallel to the health camp, children were presented school bags, shoes and books. The camp was sponsored by the DSI Group and Ceylon Biscuits. The camp was organised under the direction of the Adikarana Sangha Nayaka and Chief Incumbent of the Kelegama Temple, Dehiattakandiya, Ven. Makuruppe Pannasekera Thera.Dehiattakandiya group cor.
