27 September, 2020

Sylvester Stallone’s mother passed away from unknown causes recently, according to TMZ.

The exact circumstances surrounding her death are currently unclear according to the media outlet. As well as being mother to Hollywood legend Sylvester, Jackie was also mum to singer Frank Stallone and late actress Toni D’Alto. Jackie was a famed celebrity astrologer who married three times. Her first husband, Frank Stallone Sr, was the father of her two sons. She married Frank in 1945 and they lasted 12 years together before divorcing in 1957, after having Sylvester and Frank Jr. In 1959, Jackie married Anthony Filiti, who is the father of her daughter, Toni D’Alto, who passed away at the age of 48 after a lengthy cancer battle in 2012.

Their separation was shrouded in secrecy but they eventually divorced.

Decades later, in 1998, Jackie married her current husband, Stephen Levine.

Jackie’s boys dubbed her the #QueenofHollywood on Instagram and as well as being an astrologer, she was also one of the key creators and trainers on G.L.O.W., The Gorgeous Girls of Wrestling. This was a syndicated TV show that ran for five years from Las Vegas in the 1980s. Jackie championed women in competitive fitness and athleticism, pushing for more televised events. She was born Jacqueline Frances and reportedly ran away from home at the age of 15.

Jackie briefly worked as an aerialist in the Ringling Brothers Barnum and Baily’s The Greatest Show on Earth. She went on to become “the first woman to have a daily TV show on exercise and weight lifting in Washington, D.C.” This led to her opening an all-female gym called Barbella’s.

Jackie might be best known for her passion for astrology, studying for 15 years under a number of acclaimed astrologers, including Evangeline Adams, who was dubbed the ‘greatest astrologer of the Twentieth Century.’

Her drive and passion for the subject led to “astrology being accepted as an accredited course in many colleges and universities.” Jackie made an infamous appearance on Celebrity Big Brother in 2005, where she confronted her former daughter-in-law Brigitte Nielsen, while in the house.
