MAHAMOOD - HARFILEEN (HARFI), passed away peacefully at his home in California, USA on 10, 2020 at 94 years of age. Son of Mymoon Soori & Mohamat Hakim Mahamood, father of Lakshan (deceased), Rukmin, Susie & Reema; father-in-law of Ray & Fred; grandfather of Anil & KC, Lakshan & Taryn; and great-grandfather of Nicolas, Ivan, Drew & Ashtyn. Harfi was with the Sri Lankan embassy in Washington DC in the late 1950s, and then with the Sri Lankan Parliament where he had a long career as a Hansard Reporter. After retiring from government service, HARFI worked for several international organizations - Saudi Scales, Repco and the Moseco Group. HARFI performed Haj and travelled extensively in his lifetime, never losing his zest for adventure even in his later years. HARFI was laid to rest beside his wife, Rageen (Jean), in the Garden of Mercy, Chapel of the Chimes, California.073289
