BMICH remembers founders

24 January, 2021

The BMICH organized a religious event followed by a blood donation campaign recently in commemoration and honour of its founders late Prime Ministers S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike, Sirimavo Bandaranaike and of former Cabinet Minister and Speaker of Parliament Anura Bandaranaike and to invoke blessings and protection of the BMICH, its employees their families and country from Covid-19. With well-wishers and BMICH staff signing up, the scope of the blood donation campaign was truly unprecedented.

Importantly. Undoubtedly, this campaign will have a very real and direct impact on a large number of people who are in need,” said Sunil Dissanayake, CEO of the BMICH.

Chanting of “Rathana Suthraya” followed by an alms giving for Buddhist priests was also held as part of the ceremonies. BMICH is Sri Lanka’s largest and Asia’s very first purpose-built convention center with ultra-modern facilities. Recently redesigned, renovated and refurbished, BMICH is South Asia’s Premier Integrated MICE Complex with all the facilities required to host any type of convention, seminar, exhibition, conference or wedding including multi-day international conventions and conferences.
