Flying kites

24 January, 2021

Flying kites is a very interesting activity. Young children and adults like flying kites. They come in different shapes, colours and sizes. The first kite was made in China. The best time to fly kites is August. Children can make kites easily without much expense. They use tissue paper, cotton twine, glue and the mid rib of the coconut leaves to make a kite. We can fly kites in a paddy field in the village, on the beach and in an open area or on a bareland. We can make them in the shape of a cobra, hawk, eagle, diamond and other animals with colourful tissue papers and suitable sizes.
