Army SC registered an impressive 8-0 win over Old DS Sports Club in the quarter-final of the Mayor’s Cup hockey tournament played at the Astro Turf Colombo yesterday.
In another quarter-final, Navy SC narrowly beat CH & FC by two goals to nil after being nil-all at half time. Air Force SC did well to beat BRC by three goals to nil in the first quarter-final game.
The fourth quarter-final game was in progress at the time of going to Press.
The semi-finals will be played in the morning today and the final in the evening. (TBR)
