The Sunday Observer-Mobitel Most Popular Schoolgirl Cricketer of the Year 2020 Nimesha Wijesundera pulvarised the bowlers for an unbeaten 137 to see her school Marapola MV defeat Wickramashila MMV by 98 runs in an Under-19 cricket tournament match at Marapola MV ground yesterday.
In 2019 Nimesha was the runner-up in All Rounder category in the schoolgirls segment of the Sunday Observer Mobitel cricket awards and she hit five sixes and 18 fours and faced only 73 deliveries as her team made 238 for 5 in 25 overs.
She will receive her Award as the Most Popular Schoolgirl Cricketer on April 20.
