Naveed Nawaz - The Winner of 1993

Mohamed Naveed Nawaz (born September 20, 1973 in Colombo), is a former Sri Lankan cricketer. He was a left-handed batsman and a leg-break bowler who played Test cricket and One-Day Internationals for Sri Lanka. During his school days he won the Observer Schoolboy Cricketer of the Year in 1993.

Nawaz retired from international and domestic cricket in 2005 and ventured into the field of coaching first-class cricket in Sri Lanka. In 2000. Sri Lanka Cricket appointed Nawaz the Head Coach of the Sri Lanka National under-19 team.
