Marking the important season of Vesak this year, SLT-Mobitel invites the public to join ‘Daana Paaramitha’, an initiative conceptualised to support people affected by the pandemic.
SLT-Mobitel understands that many families especially from communities in lower income groups are facing financial difficulties and enduring severe hardship, due to the prevailing situation. The endeavour will provide health equipment, dry rations and relief packs to communities affected by Covid-19.To support the distressed communities, SLT-Mobitel has instituted a fund to which customers can contribute as a meritorious deed. Pre-Paid and Post-Paid Mobitel customers can donate Rs. 50 per SMS by simply typing ‘YES’ and sending it to 255. In return, SLT-Mobitel will match all public donations and will double the funds collected. Customers who wish to make a bigger contribution have the option of sending multiple SMS messages from the same number.
