Sri Lanka Cricket’s income generating Lanka Premier League (LPL) with overseas players will be held as scheduled from July 30 to August 22.
In a statement SLC said 135 million viewers watched the inaugural tournament last year and were looking forward to an improved version.
“The inaugural edition received wide-scale attention, and millions of fans from across the world viewed the tournament via television and digital platforms with 135 million viewers watching the final,” the statement said.
The Jaffna Stallions captained by Thisara Perera won the inaugural tournament played at the Mahinda Rajapaksa stadium in Hambantota.
