An Indian Premier League (IPL) show will take place in Sri Lanka when the touring Indians will be hosted to three T20 Internationals at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo starting today.

Sri Lanka will move into the series with some momentum after beating India by three wickets in the third and final ODI on Friday although losing the series 2-1.

Nearly all the Indian players currently touring Sri Lanka, including skipper Shikhar Dhawan have come through the high profile IPL and will at the same time be under some degree of pressure to live up to expectations.

Among the star IPL players are Prithvi Shaw, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson, Suriyakumar Yadav, Manesh Pandey and Nitish Rana.

Sri Lanka is expected to field the same playing eleven that beat India in the third ODI on Friday with the opening pair of Avishka Fernando and Minod Bhanuka to set things rolling in the batting order.

The series will also bring back memories of Sri Lanka beating the number one ranked T20 team Pakistan in 2018 with Dasun Shanaka back as captain after leading the team on the triumphant tour.

One of the players who played a major role in the series, Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva, is a doubtful starter due to an injury.
