Suwadharani, an international ayurvedic magazine, which aims to highlight Sri Lankan Ayurvedic practices to a global audience, was launched at Temple Trees recently.

Ministers Namal Rajapaksa, Dinesh Gunawardena, Bandula Gunawardena and Pavithra Wanniarachchi, State Minister Sisira Jayakody and the senior management of Bio Extracts (Pvt) Ltd were present.

The magazine is fully sponsored by Bio Extracts that produces ayurvedic herbal medicines under the brand name ‘Baraka’.

The ayurvedic magazine is a concept of State Minister of Indigenous Medicine Promotion, Rural and Ayurvedic Hospitals Development and Community Health, Sisira Jayakody who envisioned that the local Ayurveda and other indigenous medical practices should be promoted to the global arena.

It contains articles, opinions and research findings on indigenous medicine, ayurveda and medicinal qualities of various endemic plant varieties showcasing Sri Lanka’s rich ayurvedic heritage and the potential of our dense medicinal herbal expanse.

“As a company that takes indigenous ayurvedic products to the international market, we are glad to be a part of the Suwadharani International Ayurveda magazine, a  senior management representative of Bio Extracts said.
