My country is Sri Lanka. it is known as the ’Pearl of the Indian Ocean’. Sri Lanka is in the Indian Ocean. It is near the equator and in the tropical zone. My country has a beautiful landscape. Sri Lanka receives rain in three ways. They are the monsoon rains, convectional rains and cyclones.
My country has eight World Heritage sites. Among them arte the ‘Sinharaja rain forest' and ‘Sigirya’. Sri Lanka is a multi-ethnic, multi-religious and multi-cultural country. This is because there are various ethnic groups and different people who follow different religions. Sri Lanka has intangible heritages too.
It is an attractive tourist destination in the world.
