Known for being quite mysterious in her role as Aria in ’Pretty Little Liars’, Lucy Hale is being quite transparent about her recent decision to have one of her matching tattoos removed. And, she’s apologizing for it – kind of.
The ’PLL’ star has posted a series of both throwback and recent images in honour of her sister Maggie’s birthday. The lighthearted Instagram stories showed the sisters through the years, some incredible ‘90s fashion, and Lucy’s tattoo regrets.
After showering her sister with compliments, Lucy revealed she “made” her sister get tattoos with her, she’s having one of their matching tattoo sets removed soon. “I’m sorry Maggie I’m getting this one lasered off,” Lucy wrote on top of a pic that showed the two with the fresh ink. In the photo was a tattoo on her torso in the shape of the sun, which she and her sister had gotten together a while ago, though we are not sure exactly when. (Maggie’s is on her right wrist.)
Lucy told ’Refiney29’ in 2017 that the sun tattoos were an original tribute to the sisters’ late grandmother. In 2018, the sisters decided to also pay tribute to their grandmothers with another set of matching inks. This time, they opted to get her handwriting tattooed on their wrists to read “I love you.” And, as Lucy wrote in another slide, “this one will stay.”
