The Summer Olympics is a major sporting event which is held in different countries every four years.The first Olympic Games were held in Greece in 1896.
The 2020 Olympic Games were held in Tokyo, Japan recently.
They could not be held in 2020 due to the Corona pandemic. The international Olympic Games Committee organises the Summer Olympics.
In each game a gold medal is awarded to the athlete who comes first. Silver and bronze medals are awarded to the second and third runners up.
