‘Ever Ace’ docks at Colombo Port

Ever Ace’, the world’s largest container ship docked at the Port of Colombo recently. She was on the return of her maiden voyage.

She is an A-type vessel. Her length is around 400 m and she is 61.5 m wide. The ‘Ever Ace’ can cruise at speeds up to 22.6 knots.

Ever Ace sails under the flag of Panama.

The vessel arrived at the Port of Colombo after a voyage of 16 days. Globally, there are only 24 ports in the world which can handle such large ships.

The Port of Colombo is the only South Asian port able to handle ships like the ‘Ever Ace’.
