Jaffna schoolboy in 15-man basketball squad

Two schoolboys have been named in a 15-man Sri Lanka squad for the SABA (South Asian Basketball Association) Championship to be held in Dhaka, Bangladesh next month.

Yoganathan Simron from Angel International School, Jaffna and Shehan Fernando of St. Joseph’s College, Colombo are the schoolboys in the side led by veteran Clinton Stallone of the Navy.

The pool is a good mixture of youth and experience and should fare well in the SABA Championship. A total of 60 players attended trials conducted by the Sri Lanka Basketball Federation.

Following is the Sri Lanka squad:
