St. Joseph’s College player Dunith Wellalage has taken an early lead in the voting for the Sunday Observer-SLT Mobitel Most Popular Cricketer of the Year while Chaushadi Kaushalya of Dharmapala College, Pannipitiya is in the forefront of the Most Popular Schoolgirl Cricketer contest.
In second place is Ashen Bandara from St. Anthony’s College Kandy followed by Ramith de Silva of Nalanda College while Vishmi Gunaratne from Ratanaweli BMV Gampaha and Kavya Kavindi from Devapathiraja College hold the second and third places respectively among the girls.
