Pakistan pair wallop Sri Lanka A

Pakistan ‘A’ made a bold reply of 187 for one wicket when rain halted play on the third day of their four-day match against Sri Lanka A at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium yesterday.

Earlier Sri Lanka A were bowled out for 141 in their first innings with paceman Naseem Shah taking 5 for 53 on the second day.

Skipper Saud Shakeel scored 86 with 10 fours while Omair Yousuf made a good knock of 78 with nine fours and put on a remarkable 162-run unbroken second wicket stand to build up their total.

Lasith Embuldeniya the leg spinner was able to get the only wicket to fall that of opener Abdullah Shafique who scored 9.
